Craig's Priorities

for Chatham Township

ENHANCED COMMUNICATIONS

Bridging the communications gap between Chatham residents and their government is a critical step in supporting residents to stay informed, engaged and involved.

Using 30+ years of experience in marketing communications, I will help staff and Committee members more effectively share the Committee’s work and help their messaging reach more residents.

My Goal is to showcase the great work behind the scenes and the decisions being made so residents feel empowered, informed and involved.

PUBLIC SAFETY & PREPAREDNESS

7 years as an active member of the Chatham Emergency Squad (and having served as Equipment Lieutenant for 2 years), I know how essential it is to support fire, police, DPW and EMS with the resources they need to keep Chatham safe and running smoothly.

I will work with fellow first responders to anticipate long-term needs, ensure equipment and resources are sourced in a fiscally responsible way and maintained to boost the value of these investments.

We need to be better forecasters of critical infrastructure that keeps Chatham safe and functioning smoothly, and strategize to get ahead of high-ticket expenses.

STEWARDSHIP OF MUNICIPAL RESOURCES

Chatham residents want local leaders to maximize their tax dollars by better utilizing Township assets like municipal buildings and open spaces. There are under-explored opportunities for residents to come together and enjoy recently acquired and re-envisioned public spaces. Serious consideration should be given to jitney service options for all Township residents to get to and from the train station.

Imagine what 58 Meyersville could become - a meeting place for people, improved Township offices, a best-in-class police facility, an activity hub for adult recreation or even a place for dogs to play.
