My name is John Carini - I have lived in Chatham Township for more than 20 years. I am proud to say we raised our family in this fantastic town.  I am a lifelong Republican and have rarely crossed party lines at the polls.
I would like to think local politics rises above the bickering we see at the national level.  And this year I feel Craig Alperowitz is the local candidate who rises far above the fray and deserves our vote. Â
Truth be told, I have known Craig almost as long as I have known this town. You might think that makes me biased.  But this puts me in a unique position, so let me tell you a little about Craig before you go to the polls. Â

Craig is the type of person you call when you need help. He is trustworthy, honest, dedicated, intelligent and he always listens. He has deep knowledge in many areas including some that I feel the Township can use including communications, marketing and technology. Â
As a Republican, I’ve had lengthy conversations regarding politics with him in the past.  Even when we disagree, Craig finds constructive and respectful ways to bridge almost any gap and find common ground.  Â
But perhaps most importantly Craig is very generous with his time.  I watched him dedicate countless hours to the Chatham Emergency Squad where he routinely saves the lives of your fellow residents.  So many times I’ve watched Craig miss social events and activities because of his dedication to the Emergency Squad and the people of Chatham. He always answers the call - literally and figuratively. I know he will have the same level of dedication when he is on the Township Committee.  Â
So please join me in supporting the voice of reason this year and elect my friend Craig Alperowitz to the Chatham Township committee. Â
